Spooky Mummy Meatball Casserole Bake

This Spooky Mummy Meatball Casserole Bake is a fun and festive Halloween dish featuring savory meatballs wrapped in crescent dough for a creepy, delicious treat the whole family will enjoy.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Black olives or peppercorns for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form mixture into 16 small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, unroll crescent roll dough and cut into thin strips.
  6. In a casserole dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce.
  7. Place baked meatballs in the dish and wrap each with crescent dough strips to resemble mummy bandages.
  8. Bake casserole for 15 minutes until dough is golden and cooked.
  9. Remove from oven, dot meatballs with mozzarella cheese eyes, and add olive slices or peppercorns for pupils.
  10. Return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy your spooky feast!

Notes

For an extra cheesy twist, sprinkle additional mozzarella over the casserole before the final bake or serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
