Pecan Pie Bars

Deliciously rich and buttery pecan pie bars combining a flaky crust with a gooey pecan filling, perfect for any dessert occasion.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, flour, sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the filling is set and golden.
  8. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

For extra richness, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
