Honey Garlic Grilled Shrimp Skewers

Sweet and savory honey garlic grilled shrimp skewers deliver a quick, flavorful meal perfect for summer barbecues or weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a minute before serving. Drizzle any remaining marinade warmed through over the skewers if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
