Healthy Frozen Banana Bites

These Healthy Frozen Banana Bites are a simple, naturally sweet snack perfect for cooling down on warm days or as a guilt-free treat any time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. Spread a small amount of Greek yogurt on one banana slice and sandwich it with another slice to form banana bite sandwiches.
  3. Place the banana bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour until firm.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  5. Dip each frozen banana bite halfway into the melted chocolate and then roll or sprinkle with chopped nuts and shredded coconut if using.
  6. Return the coated banana bites to the parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze again for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
  7. Serve directly from the freezer and enjoy as a refreshing treat.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the yogurt before assembling or use flavored Greek yogurt varieties. Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
