Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 4 pineapple rings, fresh or canned
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling pineapple)
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping, optional)
  • 2 slices red onion (optional)
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Brush pineapple rings lightly with olive oil.
  4. Grill the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  5. At the same time, grill pineapple rings for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized and grill marks appear.
  6. If desired, place cheese slices on patties during the last minute of grilling to melt.
  7. Remove patties and pineapple from grill. Assemble by placing each beef patty topped with a grilled pineapple ring. Serve wrapped in large lettuce leaves or on a plate as is.
  8. Add sliced red onions for extra crunch and flavor if desired.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a slice of jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce. Serve with a side salad or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
