Deviled Egg

Classic deviled eggs feature creamy, tangy filling made from hard-boiled egg yolks mixed with mayonnaise and mustard, perfect as a savory appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water by an inch.
  2. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat; cover, remove from heat, and let stand 12 minutes.
  3. Drain and cool eggs in ice water, then peel and slice each egg lengthwise.
  4. Remove yolks and place in a bowl; mash with a fork.
  5. Mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Spoon or pipe filling back into egg whites.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
