Beef and Green Bean Skillet

A hearty and flavorful skillet dish combining tender beef with fresh green beans, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula; cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Season beef with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Add green beans to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well.
  7. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until green beans are tender but still crisp.
  8. Remove lid; increase heat to medium-high and cook for another 2-3 minutes to reduce liquid slightly.
  9. Adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
