Ingredients
Scale
8 tostada shells
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tbsp lime juice
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Add taco seasoning and water to the beef, stir well, and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
While beef is cooking, prepare cabbage slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, sour cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
Place tostada shells on a baking sheet and evenly distribute cooked ground beef on each shell.
Top each tostada with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tostadas are crispy.
Remove from oven and top each tostada with a generous amount of cabbage slaw.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra spice, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce to the slaw before serving.
