Avocado Caprese Salad

A fresh and creamy twist on the classic Italian Caprese salad, featuring ripe avocado combined with juicy tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, sliced
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Arrange slices of avocado, tomato, and mozzarella alternately on a serving plate.
  2. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices for flavor and color.
  3. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the salad.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Finish by drizzling the balsamic glaze on top just before serving.

Notes

For added texture and flavor, sprinkle toasted pine nuts or a pinch of chili flakes before serving.
